Utah Tech University is a public university in St. George, Utah. Founded in 1911, UTU now enrolls over 9,000 students. UTU was previously titled Dixie State University, but in December 2020, Utah Tech University's board of trustees voted to remove the word Dixie from its name. The Trailblazers reclassified to NCAA Division I in the 2020-2021 season and joined the Western Athletic Conference in all eligible sports.
